About
It happened by accident. I didn’t plan on becoming a professional photographer. I earned my Ph.D. in health policy from Penn State and spent 5 years working as a pharmacy research scientist. Little did I know how much my life would change when I photographed a friend’s wedding in 2004.
My passion for photography was quickly noticed by other couples and families with young children, and I quickly realized I was doing what I was meant to do. Life had taken an unexpected turn, and I now have the privilege of documenting life’s most precious moments – a family’s joy as they welcome a new baby into the world, a brother’s smile as he hugs his sister, a child’s laughter as she plays on the playground. What could be more rewarding than capturing these moments? When our first daughter was born in 2008, I made the decision to make photography my full-time career, and I haven’t looked back since. I am truly blessed to make a living doing what I love.
During each lifestyle session, I capture both real moments and modern portraits that have an un-posed feel. I specialize in on-location work using natural light, and it’s always relaxed, fun, and spontaneous. It feels more like a playdate. Hopefully you can get an even better sense of my style by looking through the gallery images and sample slideshows, and by reading the blog. Thanks for taking the time to look at my website.
